The EGGER company with its headquarters in St. Johann, Tyrol, was founded by Fritz Egger sen. in 1961 and is now managed in the second generation by Michael Egger, Walter Schiegl, Thomas Leissing and Ulrich Bühler.

Meanwhile, the EGGER Group maintains sixteen plants in six countries with a total workforce of  5,700 and sales agencies in the world’s major industrial nations.

With a European market share of about 11 % the family business is one of the worlds most important producers of chipboards, MDF and OSB boards and upgraded products such as coated boards, postformed and softformed elements, components, laminates, edges, lightweight boards and laminated flooring.
