The EGGER company with its headquarters in St. Johann/Tirol, was founded by Fritz Egger sen. in 1961 and is now managed by Thomas Leissing (Finance, Controlling, Organisation, Logistics and Personnel), Walter Schiegl (Production, Technology and Purchasing) and Ulrich Bühler (Sales and Marketing).

Meanwhile, the EGGER Group maintains 15 plants in six countries with a total workforce of  5,500 and sales agencies in the world’s major industrial nations.

With a European market share of about 11 % the family business is one of the worlds most important producers of chipboards, MDF and OSB boards and upgraded products such as coated boards, postformed and softformed elements, components, laminates, edges, lightweight boards and laminated flooring.
